‘Godzilla’ goes glam at the premiere

When a classic like "Godzilla" is remade with an A-list cast, you know it's going to get substantial buzz. While the film has yet to hit the silver screen, it's already been making headlines as the stars travel around the globe to promote the blockbuster. Recently, the cast hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Even though we still have to wait until May 16 to watch the flick for ourselves, we did get a glimpse at the stars at the premiere. "Godzilla" may be a sci-fi film about a radioactive lizard, celebs still sported surprisingly glitzy attire for the event.

What lesson can we learn from these celebrities' looks? It's nearly impossible to be overdressed – as long as you make strategic decisions with your accessories. Take a cue from these "Godzilla" cast members when you're planning your attire for a big bash or a night on the town, and then peruse the selection at Fine Jewelers for some pieces that resemble theirs.

Jessica Chobot
Just because Chobot isn't actually a "Godzilla" cast member doesn't mean she didn't go all out with her attire. The IGN Entertainment on-camera host turned heads from the moment she arrived in a sleeveless red cocktail dress that hit right at the knee. Her striking red lipstick amped up the wow factor on this ensemble, but she stuck with classic black heels and minimal accessories to ensure the overall look was still polished and elegant. With her sleek and softly tousled brunette locks swept over one shoulder, Chobot had an undeniable sultry vibe that was well complemented by her crimson dress. Instead of donning ultra glitzy baubles, she was smart and went for a simple but stunning pair of gleaming gold hoop earrings – a piece that nevers go out of style.

Jamie Chung
It was hard to miss Chung when she showed up at the Dolby Theater. The actress definitely stood out in her strapless sunny yellow frock, that was perfect for spring. Chung paired the cheerful dress with a vibrant pair of violet pointy-toe pumps that had intricate strappy detailing. In one hand, she carried a clutch with a bright floral-printed clutch that added a playful touch to her already adorable outfit. Her fuchsia lipstick also offered another bright pop of color without overpowering the look. Her jewelry was the real highlight, though. Chung opted for a sleek gold bangle on one wrist and an ornate floral-inspired ear cuff, which gave the ensemble even more femininity while also incorporating a slight edginess.

Elizabeth Olsen
Like her sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley, Olsen always seems to hit the mark style-wise. Once again, she nailed it at the "Godzilla" premiere in a 3/4-sleeve black maxi dress with a slightly slouchy fit. The actress went for a brown smoky eye and let her straight hair fall to one side, giving off a laid-back but alluring look. As Olsen chose to rock such plain attire, one might assume she'd pick flashy baubles to add a little intrigue. However, she surprised all by choosing a simple gold chain necklace that looked impossibly striking against the black background of her gown.
