2 different looks at the second annual Up2US Gala

Though the Up2Us gala is only in its second year, the event still generated substantial buzz due to the profound purpose behind the event, as well as the star-studded list of invitees. Celebrity entertainers and famous athletes alike gathered at Mercedes-Benz Manhattan May 14 for a rather inspiring evening aimed at celebrating the positive effects that the organization's coach-mentors have had on youths across the U.S.

Last year the Up2Us gala raised nearly $500,000 and a slew of A-listers were in attendance to support the nonprofit's mission – and this year was no different. While the gala's goal is to resolve challenges that plague young people in America, the event got a lot of attention for another reason: the celebs that came really brought their A-game in the style department.

These are two very different standout looks from the gala that you can easily recreate with a few pieces from Fine Jewelers.

Gretchen Mol
If there's one star that hit the nail on the head for spring fashion, it's Gretchen Mol. The actress and former model arrived in a demure cream short-sleeved dress with an ultra-feminine botanical print that featured orange and blue flowers. Peep-toe sand colored ankle booties added an unexpectedly bohemian vibe while also making the frock feel more casual. She wore her blonde bob down and tousled, and rocked a bright lip that really brought out the hues in her dress. As far as jewelry was concerned, Mol kept things simple – enormous pearl drop earrings and a matching gold bangle with a dangling pearl offered just the right amount of elegance without overpowering her adorable attire.

Heidi Klum
Leave it to Klum to steal the spotlight on the red carpet. The supermodel stunned all in a leopard-print pencil skirt and ornate black T-shirt with cut-outs and shimmering details. Her chunky heels with skinny ankle straps made the ensemble look even more fashion-forward, as did her unique hairdo, which featured tiny braids against one side of her head and tumbling loose blonde curls on the other. Though Klum nailed it in every aspect, it was her accessories that truly shone. She donned a pair of massive black and gunmetal sparkly hoop earrings as well as matching chain-link bracelets. The edgy baubles perfectly complemented her rock 'n' roll makeup. Klum sported a dramatic smoky eye with luminous metallic silver accents and a nude lip for an impossibly alluring look.
