There has already been substantial buzz around the movie "Her," which recently premiered in Los Angeles. In fact, both director Spike Jonze and actor Joaquin Phoenix have received Golden Globe nominations for their work in the film, which is up for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. So on the red carpet for the premiere at the DGA Theater, Amy Adams knew she had to shine just as much as the movie has. She didn't disappoint, either, in a Lanvin sleeveless black belted dress with a full skirt, which had a timeless appeal. Adams wore her hair swept back in an elegant 'do, and donned glitzy Christian Louboutin shoes. Her accessories, which included a sparkly Valentino clutch, added a retro glamor to the ensemble. Her earrings, though, were an unexpected choice which really turned the look around and gave it a modern twist. The brass drops featured an enormous sky blue rectangular stone in the center, which matched the stunning shade of her eyeliner. What can we learn from Adams? That when you're sporting an all black outfit, it's OK to add a little pop of color with your earrings from Fine Jewelers.
Adams is definitely content with her career and her personal life, and it shows. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair magazine, she noted that she has no plans to get married anytime soon, even though she's been dating her fiancé Darren Le Gallo for 11 years. She's far more focused on making sure that their three-year-old daughter, Aviana Olea, matures into a strong woman.
"Everything was new to me as an adult. Everything was mine. I owned everything that I did. Very few things were because of my upbringing," Adams said, according to Business Standard. "So I have a real strong sense of self and a sense of accomplishment, and I want my daughter to have that," she added.
Adams' confidence is clear, especially in her bold sense of style and grace on the red carpet.
