Chic looks from the Chanel fashion show

Paris Fashion Week always means that some of Hollywood's most stylish celebrities will be donning their chicest attire, and this year was no different. While a multitude of shows attracted the stars, Chanel's was a highlight.

For the most part, attendees incorporated classic Chanel-inspired pieces such as floral gowns, collared blouses and of course – the signature quilted shoulder clutch. However, when it came to accessories, celebs ditched the traditional pearls for a much tougher look. If there's one lesson learned from this fashion show, it's that elegance and edge go hand in hand. Next time you're trying to give a classic ensemble a modern twist, use these stars' looks for inspiration and incorporate some fashion-forward baubles from fine jewelers:

Katy Perry
Perry is one pop singer who is known for taking a risk with a daring outfit for big events, but she opted for a classy vibe at this fashion show. According to Hollywood Life, the star was sporting head-to-toe Chanel with a black and white flower-print gown that grazed the floor. Her sleek bun and polished makeup gave Perry an unexpectedly sophisticated look. Still, the songstress found a way to give the ladylike ensemble a certain toughness with her necklace: a dark gunmetal chain and diamond choker, which tied in with her gleaming metal belt.

Rila Fukushima
The Japanese model actress hit the mark in terms of capturing the essence of Chanel while adding her own spin. Her cream pleated blouse with a peter pan collar looked demure with a black panelled maxi skirt and pointy flats. However, black stud earrings and a chunky silver chain-link bracelet kept the outfit from looking too prissy and proper.

Tao Okamoto
This model-turned-actress rocked the most dramatic ensemble of all: an all-black combination of a double-breasted satin minidress with short puffed sleeves and a sheer, gauzy overlay that fell in a train at the back. Black ankle booties reinforced the moto-chic feel. How did she top it all off? With a black and silver choker necklace, which tied in the links on her purse chain and belt.

Haya Abu Khadra and Sama Abu Khadra
It's no wonder these Arab twins instantly became fashion icons. The two managed to look effortlessly put-together in subtly coordinating black and white ensembles. Haya wore a flared skirt and a black tee with nude and black cap-toe flats, but her silver statement necklace really made the look stand out. Sama took a chance on a midriff-baring black top, a skirt and jacket in a psychedelic print, lace-up motorcycle booties and a thick gunmetal bangle that featured an intricate design.
