At 43, Catherine Zeta-Jones is still turning heads with her bold fashion choices. At the New York Screening of her latest film "Red 2" at the Museum of Modern Art, she donned a sleek black Michael Kors dress with a thigh-high slit and silver embroidery, a Jimmy Choo clutch, strappy Maiyet heels and stunning gold triangular drop earrings by Neil Lane. The screening, which was sponsored by Cinema Society and Bally, was also attended by co-stars Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker and Bruce Willis.
"Red 2" is a sequel to the high-grossing 2010 action comedy "Red," which stands for Retired and Extremely Dangerous and was inspired by the comic book series of the same name. Zeta-Jones plays Russian spy Miranda Wood, the love interest to Willis' Frank Moses.
"When I first red the script she just jumped out to me," Zeta-Jones recently told AOL about the role, according to Daily Mail. "The character is so much fun because she's such a kick-ass – well, she's a spy with a sexy twist. Even wearing [high] heels and running through the streets of Paris has been fun for me."
Daily Mail reported that Lionsgate studio has already ordered another film in the series, which is set to start production early next year.
As usual, Zeta-Jones portrayal of Wood is daring, commanding and effortlessly sultry – and her style at the MoMA was nothing less. The triangular earrings were on-trend, and a perfectly eye-catching statement to accent the geometry of her dress. The best part about geometric jewelry? It can draw attention to your greatest features or away from less desirable ones. Try rectangular-shaped earrings from fine jewelers to balance out a round face, while diagonal, angular lines can bring light to defined cheekbones.
