While it seems impossible to find a piece of jewelry that will go with everything from a pair of boyfriend jeans to a chic cocktail dress, there's one that can do it all: the chain link bracelet. Whether in silver or gold, with crystals or without, delicate or chunky, you can wrap one around your wrist to run errands or to attend an evening gala and everything in between. Starlets have been sporting these bracelets all over the red carpet this season, showing their versatility with a variety of ensembles. Here are a few of Hollywood's most fashionable icons' displaying the chain link look.
InStyle reported that at a photo call for her latest film "The Heat," held at the hotel de Rome in Berlin, Germany, Bullock opted for simple but striking silver Pomellato chain link bracelets. The pieces were all she needed to accessorize her sleek, head-to-toe black apparel. With an edgy but sophisticated leather Asos skirt, button down blouse and strappy Tabitha Simmons sandals, the bracelets added some light without overpowering her chic statement. Even her hair and makeup was kept minimal, with the only color coming from her crimson pedicure.
The FashioniStyle noted that Pomellato's latest line, 1967, celebrates the founding year of the Milanese jewelry house, which reflects a period of transformation in culture and fashion. All pieces are handcrafted, tell an individual story and call to mind a rock'n'roll feel.
This isn't the first time that Bullock has worn a chain bracelet, however. According to StyleBistro, she wore gold links to accompany an all-black Lanvin outfit in 2011.
In a similar vein, People magazine revealed that Paltrow went with an unusual mix of metal Pomellato bracelets for the Gene Siskel Film Center Gala in Chicago. Like Bullock, she stuck with a pin-straight hairstyle and solid ensemble – a demure ivory Alexander McQueen turtleneck mini dress. The bracelets, combined with her glimmering gold peep-toe pumps, added just the right amount of flash.
Paltrow, 40, was recently named the "World's Most Beautiful Woman," by the publication, highlighting how she has embraced being a star, wife and mother.
The younger starlet took a more casual, bohemian route with her gold chain bracelet at the Oakley Bali Pro surfing competition in Indonesia, according to People. With a busy paisley-printed Blu Moon romper, brown leather belt and wooden beaded necklace, the links on her wrist were just enough of a visual impact.
Starlets of all ages are layering these bracelets or wearing them alone for an understated appeal. And the best part about these pieces is that they're a surefire staple, and will be in your jewelry box for years to come.
