Whether she's starring in "Sex and the City" or supporting the New York City Ballet, Sarah Jessica Parker's style is always on point. At times, she might be bold and take fierce risks, but no matter what she's wearing, her confidence shines through and manages to make each ensemble work. Her recent appearance at the AOL NewFront event demonstrated that sometimes, it's okay to simply wear classic pieces and pull them together to make a look that's timeless. The actress wore a shimmery white shift dress with contrasting pointy-toe heels, a pale green blazer and a gorgeous, sparkling statement necklace that completed the spring look.
Parker confirmed that she would take part in the new AOL web series by producing a documentary on the New York City Ballet, according to Marie Claire UK. She'll join other stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie and fitness guru Tracey Anderson in AOL's new programming venture.
A former ballerina herself, Parker has been a board member for the NYC Ballet for a few years. She's showed her support by leading a collaboration with the dance company and designer Valentino, where the fashion house created costumes for the ballet at a major fall gala in 2012. Plus, her daughters are huge fans of the performance art.
"My daughters love ballet," Parker told Extra TV. "They dance all day long. They're going to start taking proper ballet classes next year. We go to the ballet, and they pretend they're ballerinas. They dress like ballerinas, wear ballet slippers."
If you're a fan of Parker's polished, proper look, you can try it yourself with your own sparkly statement necklaces. Hers is the classic bib shape, which can be worn with a crew neck dress or T-shirt to dress up the piece. Or, you can opt for a deep-V cut like the actress and let your neckline take center stage.
