Amy Adams is known for bringing her A-game to the red carpet time and time again, and this was no different when she arrived at the 85th annual Academy Awards. According to Us Weekly, the gorgeous redhead wowed in a strapless silver-gray Oscar de la Renta gown, which was complete with an intricate bodice and massive tulle skirt that certainly turned heads. She paired the look with dazzling drop earrings and bracelets, all of which were covered in diamonds.
The decision of which dress she was going to wear did not come easy, but once she saw a photograph of one of Oscar de la Renta's gowns, she knew it was the one. Since the picture was of a model, it took a few tried for the fashion house to get the fit right for the actress, People magazine reports.
"[Adams is] very realistic that she's not a 5'11 runway model," Adams' stylist Cristina Ehrlich told the news source. "There were a lot of changes that we were doing up until the very final moment."
However, the work was certainly worth it, and Adams was more than thrilled with the final result, the media outlet reports.
"The first time she put [on] the dress, she was like sashaying through the office," Ehrlich told the media outlet. "You could tell that she was having that fairytale moment."
