It was Britain's biggest music night, and the one of the standout stars was someone from across the pond. Taylor Swift has long been known for her extremely personal lyrics about her love life as well as her catchy tunes, but her impact as a fashion icon is just beginning. According to People magazine, the "I Knew You Were Trouble" crooner wowed at the Brit Awards, as she donned a black sleeveless Elie Saab frock. The dress was complete with sheer panels on the sides and a gold belt. She matched the look with Neil Lane bracelets, rings and earrings – making for quite the standout combination.
Swift's latest failed relationship was with Britain's own Harry Styles, one of the group members of the boy band One Direction. Many were eager to see if the two would interact during the show, and some were curious about his reaction to her stellar performance during the show. According to Us Weekly, Styles had nothing but positive things to say about his ex-girlfriend.
"[Her performance was] great!" Styles told the news source. "She always puts on a good show."
Besides her love life, Swift has run into a few problems in other aspects of her life. According to ABC News, the pop singer is also being sued for $2.5 million for accepting an advance to perform at festival in Ottawa and then keeping it after the event was canceled. Swift has yet to comment about the complaint.
"Taylor Swift, individually and/or through her agent [The] Messina [Group], refused to perform and or reschedule a new appearance, as agreed under the Oct. 18, 2011 agreement," read the complaint, the news source reports.
