Emmy Rossum looked nothing short of glamorous when she arrived at the premiere of her latest film, “Beautiful Creatures.” According to People magazine, the brunette beauty donned a lovely black and white halter dress by Andrew Gn. She matched the beautiful dress with diamond bracelets, studded earrings and a massive cocktail ring.
Fans of Rossum can also check her out on her hit Showtime series, “Shameless,” and also purchase her new album, Sentimental Journey Vignettes. According to Billboard, her recent album is songs from the 1920s through 1960s. She thought about her favorites and created an album recreating these classical tunes – and it was with her money. Her last record came out back in 2007, and the publication asked why it took her so long to release a new one.
“I was getting pressure to make a record that I didn’t want to make. So it took me a while to legally get out of my contract with the other label. I made this record with my own money, with friends of mine and a producer I’d worked with before. And it was kind of the first opportunity I’d had to put it together between making ‘Shameless’ and movies,” Rossum told the news source.
Rossum’s love of music is coupled with that fact that she starred in the former “Phantom of the Opera.” Some even expected her to be on the cast of “Les Miserables.” However, she was unable to audition because she was working on “Shameless,” but she is happy it is getting such praise.
“I haven’t seen it but I hear it’s brilliant. I love the success of any movie musical because that opens the possibility that this could be a legitimate genre that could re-emerge,” Rossum told the news outlet.
