Sandra Bullock wins first Humanitarian Award at People's Choice

Sandra Bullock wowed when she came out for this year's People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles. According to People magazine, the stunning actress donned a custom made Vera Wang dress, which was complete with a pencil skirt and black and navy lace around the bodice. She matched the look with hot pink heels and a chunky bracelet.

Bullock was honored with the first ever Favorite Humanitarian Award at the event for her charitable work in New Orleans. The "Blind Side" actress helped the New Orleans' Warren Easton Charter High School and helped to rebuild it. Helping out in this specific location means even more to Bullock, as she adopted her son, Louis, from there in 2010, Us Weekly reports.

"That little clip that you saw does not even begin to scrape the surface of the amazing volunteers and humanitarians that I've come to love in New Orleans," Bullock told the audience. "And I'm not at all being modest when I say I don't do anything compared to what they do on a daily basis. I am simply blessed to be able to do what I do because of what you allow me to do, and that is write a check and be a really good cheerleader and that's it."
