Jessica Chastain has been quite busy lately. Not only does she have the Golden Globes coming up this weekend, but the lovely actress has been attending event after event promoting her two latest movies, "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Mama."
According to People magazine, the gorgeous Chastain donned a lovely black lace Oscar de la Renta dress when she attended the New York City premiere of "Mama" this past Monday. The little black dress was not the only eye-catching part of her ensemble. All eyes were on the dazzling Harry Winston diamond necklace she wore, which is worth $1.3 million.
The next morning she was at it again, and she visited the "Live! With Kelly and Michael" show, to which she wore a red and white polka dot dress with nude heels and studded earrings, the Daily Mail reports.
Just hours later she was out and about for the National Board of Reviews awards. She looked absolutely stunning in a black Alexander McQueen sheath dress with a gold embroidered neckline. She complete the look with her red hair up in a loose updo, a gold cuff bracelet and black pumps, according to People.
After the slew of appearances, many are eager to see what Chastain and other celebrities will wear to the Golden Globes this upcoming Sunday. Chastain is up for Best Actress in a Drama for her role as Maya in "Zero Dark Thirty." In the film, she plays a CIA agent who is a part of the team that finds Osama bin Laden. The role was a difficult one for Chastain, even though she could draw from a couple of similarities between her and her character.
"We both really love our jobs," Chastain told The Wall Street Journal. "I love my job so much and I can get lost in it sometimes in a moment. However, I don't get lost in it for a decade… I tried to live in [the role] as much as I could. I'm not [a] method [actress] so I'm not like, 'Call me Maya.' I'm not that actor. But I pasted up the pictures of the terrorists in my hotel room – the board that Maya looks at, because I wanted to know what it was like."
Chastain is up against Marion Cotillard, Helen Mirren, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts for the Golden Globe.
