Amy Adams looked nothing short of fantastic when she stepped out for the 22nd Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards this past Monday night. According to People Magazine, the stunning redhead donned a black one-shoulder peplum dress with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and ankle-strapped Brian Atwood heels. She wore her hair back in an updo, which made it that much easier to see her glistening earrings.
Adams was one of the many gorgeous starlets at the event alongside colleagues like Emily Blunt and Marion Cotillard. Even though the actress was there to present an award, she certainly has made her imprint on the movie industry. According to The Guardian, although it took a little while before she was considered a success, Adams now stars in amazing film after amazing film. The fame has taken her little bit to get used to, however. So much so, sometimes she forgets that she is famous.
"I still think I'm like the poor girl from Colorado who worked three jobs to buy a car. That's still my mentality, so I'll be walking down the street, and I forget what I do and who I am," Adams told the news source. "Really, I've only been in the public eye since – in a bigger way – really only since Junebug and Enchanted, and I was already 30, 32 by then so I'd already had a whole life when nobody cared at all about me. I was more used to that."
One thing's for sure, it seems as though Adams' career is just taking off, and fashionistas will be able to enjoy her many red carpet ensembles to come.
