Many individual supported breast cancer month via accessories

National breast cancer month is coming to a close. October marks the 31-day long recognition of the plight of men and women alike and propagates the importance of research and honoring those who have suffered from the ailment.

Many jewelry designers released collections in the pink hues that symbolize breast cancer, with a number of the experts donating proceeds to various cancer-related charities. For instance, according to the Style Goes Strong blog, Beth Quinn designs released two vintage-style necklaces featuring pink pendants with inspirational words, "She fights like a girl" and "With brave wings she fights." Some of the earnings will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Also, Guess came out with a silver watch with pink embellishments, the proceeds of which will go toward the same charity, according to Extra TV. The "Sparkling Pink" piece features a large pink ribbon made of stones under the face.

The great thing about these accessories is that they can be worn year-round, not simply in October. They not only symbolize the battle that many Americans have to fight, but they are classy and cute pieces that could become a focal point in a number of different outfits.
