Chanel revamps first jewelry line

Coco Chanel was known for various things, from her clothing line and various scents to jewelry designs. The vintage feeling has been embraced by many style watchers lately, and often, one of the first designers they are turning to is Chanel. Her delicate, feminine pieces have been the cause for celebration lately, as the couture house recently held a celebration to mark a notable anniversary.

According to Time Magazine, the Chanel house recently released the 1932 line, a revamped version of the company's first high-jewelry collection Bijoux de Diamants. The source said the jewels featured celestial bodies like stars, suns and comets.

The new line is very similar, Time explained, and features more stones, like while, black and yellow diamonds, blue sapphires and cultured pearls. Though 1932 features many things like bangles, headpieces and brooches, the center of the collection is the Etoile Filante necklace, which looks like falling stars.

Chanel's jewelry line was all about loose-fitting but elegant pieces. While 1932 will be on exhibit in New York in October and Tokyo in November, women looking to wear classic, Chanel-esque pieces should consider investing in delicate necklaces, classic diamond earrings or bracelets.
