Like dresses, shoes and a number of other items, no woman wants to be wearing the same exact engagement ring as anyone else. An engagement ring is a very personal piece in a woman's life, so the more options that are on the market, the lower the chance she'll find someone with the same piece.
With this in mind, many designers are revamping their offerings. For example, Monique Lhuillier Fine Jewelry is launching a new line of both engagement rings and wedding bands set to hit shelves in October. The dress designer said she was inspired by her gowns and wanted to make elegant, feminine, dainty pieces.
The rings will feature platinum bands and Blue Nile diamonds, some of the highest quality stones available. Lhuillier will be expanding the Blue Nile partnership in February, releasing earrings, necklaces and pendants.
The Diamond Buying Guide explains that when searching for rings to pop the question with, guys should consider clarity as one of the most important factors. While flawless diamonds are extremely rare, stones with a few blemishes or inclusions are common and still look beautiful. Stones that have flaws blatantly visible to the naked eye should be avoided, the source suggests.
